I tried this the night before I started my first job in France and it certainly made me feel a lot more ready to face the day ahead - try it the night before you have something important or worrying to deal with the next day...
Self-hypnosis suspends normal consciousness for a limited amount of time in order to relax and allow the mind and body to recharge.
First, make sure you are comfortable and still, there should be no noise at least whilst you are learning the technique, place 1 0r 2 drops of one of the essential oils listed below on a piece of tissue and inhale, if it helps you can also place 1 or 2 drops on an oil burner in the room you are sitting in, now focus on an object light and bright and keep concentrating on the object whilst counting to 50. Then close your eyes and imagine the object in every detail, try to see it as clearly as possible. Tell yourself that your eyes are heavy and that you could not possibly open your eyes for 10 or 15 minutes, stay relaxed and at ease, when you open your eyes you will feel ready to tackle anything.
I used patchouli oil, but you can also choose from narcissus, neroli, palma rosa, geranium, clary
sage or jonquil.
Relax and enjoy.
