I went to see Wa-Na-Nee-Che on Thursday night as part of the Nature's Way series of talks at Roadwater Village Hall and he blew me away! He is a Native American Indian who is one of the few left who is in touch with their old ways and spiritual path. He explained how they feel so close to Mother Earth and sees how it is being destroyed by modern society. i have always felt an affinity with the Native Indians since I was so moved by the film Soldier Blue many years ago and felt a great sadness to hear how many were killed by the white man. This amounted to even more than the holocaust. A whole civilisation has been virtually wiped out, just like we extinguish many species of animals every day.
His spiritual practice involves getting in touch with Mother nature and recognising that we are just part of the world around us and must all live together in harmony. The Indians align themselves with various elements such as plants and animals to which they have an affinity. Wa Na Nee Che radiated spirituality in an egoless way and made the point that ego gets in the way of our growth. We are all on our own unique paths and should not try and change others. This put me in mind of my friend Brenda who is now on her fourth clairvoyant circle having been told she is going wrong by their leaders who feel they know better!
Let us each rejoice in our own spirituality and learn from rather than criticise each other.

Sounds interesting Namaste, but having just looked at his web site - why does he have so much in your face advertising which you have to plough your way through and is very difficult to get rid of unless you click onto the advertiser's web site - I know that we all need to earn a crust from somewhere but I did find this a little strange on what should be a very spiritual web site...what do you think Nammy?
