Glad that I live am I

After all the rain we have been having here in the UK and France, often resulting in bad flooding, I wanted to post these words which I knew from an old hymn but which were originally the poem below.

A Little Song Of Life
by Lizette Woodworth Reese

Glad that I live am I;
That the sky is blue;
Glad for the country lanes,
And the fall of dew.

After the sun the rain;
After the rain the sun;
This is the way of life,
Till the work be done.

All that we need to do,
Be we low or high,
Is to see that we grow
Nearer the sky.

I hope it lifts your spirits as it does mine.

Hi Bruv,

Lovely words, thank you! It seems that it's been a wet summer for the UK and the southern portion of the USA. I'll be doing a sunshine dance for all!

Sening much love and blessings, Lynn xo
