I have just done this Jung typology test (similar to the Myers Briggs test) which was interesting - some of the things it outlined for me were spot-on. This is a shorter on-line version of the test I did at when I was studying.
You might like to try it if you haven't already done so.
I was an ENFJ (Extrovert, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging) type.

I came out as an Healer Idealist:
Healer Idealists are abstract in thought and speech, cooperative in striving for their ends, and informative and introverted in their interpersonal relations. Healers present a seemingly tranquil, and noticiably pleasant face to the world, and though to all appearances they might seem reserved, and even shy, on the inside they are anything but reserved, having a capacity for caring not always found in other types. They care deeply-indeed, passionately-about a few special persons or a favorite cause, and their fervent aim is to bring peace and integrity to their loved ones and the world.
Healers have a profound sense of idealism derived from a strong personal morality, and they conceive of the world as an ethical, honorable place. Indeed, to understand Healers, we must understand their idealism as almost boundless and selfless, inspiring them to make extraordinary sacrifices for someone or something they believe in. The Healer is the Prince or Princess of fairytale, the King's Champion or Defender of the Faith, like Sir Galahad or Joan of Arc. Healers are found in only 1 percent of the general population, although, at times, their idealism leaves them feeling even more isolated from the rest of humanity.
Is this me? Who knows....
Bruv, I think that you can see that this personality is personified in this blog - your personality traits have been realised here for us all to see. It is also very unusual just to have 2 initials and you are right they are not the standard traits like mine. Usually there are 4 traits which combined are the personality type.
See what you think of mine!
The Dominant function is the judging one of Feeling. Characteristics associated with this function include:
* Makes decisions on the basis of personal values
* Is appreciative and accepting of people - enjoying company and seeking harmony
* Assesses the impact of decisions on others, being sympathetic or compassionate
* Takes a personal approach
The judging Feeling function is extroverted. That is, Feeling is used primarily to govern the outer world of actions and spoken words. The ENFJ will therefore:
* seek stable, harmonious relationships
* tend to adapt to the environment, taking on board those values that are held as important by friends and family, or society as a whole
* express the appreciation that is felt towards others
* tend to consider others' feelings before his/her own
* be sensitive to praise and criticism, and seek to conform to others' reasonable expectations
The Feeling function is primarily supported by introverted iNtuitive perception, That is, iNtuitive perception is used primarily to manage the inner world of thoughts and emotions. This will modify the way that the Feeling is directed, by:
* focusing the (outer world) Feeling on ideas and possibilities for people
* looking for meaningful relationships
* aiming to understand people, gaining insight into their personality and motivation

That sounds pretty accurate to me Swan. These are qualities you can be proud of.

I came out as a Councillor Idealist. Which is very accurate for me and is described as:
The Counselor Idealists are abstract in thought and speech, cooperative in reaching their goals, and directive and introverted in their interpersonal roles. Counselors focus on human potentials, think in terms of ethical values, and come easily to decisions. The small number of this type (little more than 2 percent) is regrettable, since Counselors have an unusually strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others and genuinely enjoy helping their companions. Although Counsleors tend to be private, sensitive people, and are not generally visible leaders, they nevertheless work quite intensely with those close to them, quietly exerting their influence behind the scenes with their families, friends, and colleagues. This type has great depth of personality; they are themselves complicated, and can understand and deal with complex issues and people.
Counselors can be hard to get to know. They have an unusually rich inner life, but they are reserved and tend not to share their reactions except with those they trust. With their loved ones, certainly, Counselors are not reluctant to express their feelings, their face lighting up with the positive emotions, but darkening like a thunderhead with the negative. Indeed, because of their strong ability to take into themselves the feelings of others, Counselors can be hurt rather easily by those around them, which, perhaps, is one reason why they tend to be private people, mutely withdrawing from human contact. At the same time, friends who have known a Counselor for years may find sides emerging which come as a surprise. Not that they are inconsistent; Counselors value their integrity a great deal, but they have intricately woven, mysterious personalities which sometimes puzzle even them.
Counselors have strong empathic abilities and can become aware of another's emotions or intentions -- good or evil -- even before that person is conscious of them. This "mind-reading" can take the form of feeling the hidden distress or illnesses of others to an extent which is difficult for other types to comprehend. Even Counselors can seldom tell how they came to penetrate others' feelings so keenly. Furthermore, the Counselor is most likely of all the types to demonstrate an ability to understand psychic phenomena and to have visions of human events, past, present, or future. What is known as ESP may well be exceptional intuitive ability-in both its forms, projection and introjection. Such supernormal intuition is found frequently in the Counselor, and can extend to people, things, and often events, taking the form of visions, episodes of foreknowledge, premonitions, auditory and visual images of things to come, as well as uncanny communications with certain individuals at a distance.
I came out as IFNJ, ie the same as Swan's except Introvert instead of Swan's Extrovert which makes sense to me as we are both Libras born within a few days of each other. Unlike me Swan has a Fire ascendant which will make her more outgoing.
It would be interesting to see Gypsy's result because i think with Moon in Libra she would be similiar to mine but a bit more outgoing.
As this is quite a revealing test, I would be interested to see Ciariad's result.
Dear Ciariad, I have consulted my astrology reference books but not knowing your time of birth it is not possible to give more than a general profile for a person born on the 7 May.
You were born on the Day of Devotion which means you have a devotional and loyal nature. You would shed your last drop of blood to a cause you support be it religious, spiritual, artistic or social. You enjoy possessions and these lend pleasure to your life. You have a love of beautiful things.
Women born on this day can be overly self-effacing and self-sacrificing.
You can often suffer from frustrations and repressed emotions
which may manifest themselves as nervous conditions and anxiety. You will be aware of this weakness and be capable of perfecting yourself and subsequently becoming calm, balanced and self-possessed.
You are a traditionalist and conservative (with a small c).
Your strengths are your dignity, devotion and your aesthetic taste. You make a good parent being devoted to your offspring.
Your weaknesses are a somewhat unrealistic attitude, and can be troubled and frustrated with life.
Please let me know how accurate this is.
Well Ciariad, of the two profiles, I would say Namaste's is spot on and with only one major omission, the word 'shoes'! If she had said you have a love of shoes and other beautiful things it would have been 100% right.
You are a very devoted and loyal person and you fight for social justice every day of the week.
I think a lot of your physical ailments, asthma, chestiness etc are your body's way of dealing, or not dealing, with life's frustrations. If you could better come to terms with life I believe your genearl wellbeing would improve. And you would be able to cut down on your chocolate bill!
I think someone who has you in their corner has nothing to fear from life. And you deserve the support you get from others.
I'd be proud to have a profile like yours.
Lots of love
Bruv
