Hi Folks,
I hear that it is over 100 degrees in England today. Ciariad tells me that it was estimated to be 52 degrees C on London buses yesterday, which in my simple calculation made it around 130 degrees fahrenheit!
How are you all coping with the heat? I daren't venture out of the house at the moment and i am praying for rain!
I have just listened to a radio programme about the hot summer of 1911. A man walking in Essex got so hot he took off and dropped his hat and coat. Further on he threw his jacket and shirt into a hedge. By the time he reached his destination he was stark naked. He was taken to a police station where a doctor promptly certified him insane and he was carted off to Brentwood Asylum forthwith!
Any hot summer stories?

We had storms on Saturday after a heatwave of 39 degrees on Friday and in the papers today there were photographs of hailstones as large as tennis balls which fell in a town called Blain (about half-hour from here) and did so much damage to both people and buildings etc - how spooky is that?
