I have been feeling very sad today because I found out last night that a dear friend of mine has cancer and will have an operation on Friday to hopefully remove it from his mouth. Ben has great courage, he already has MS which on a daily basis gives him lots to deal with - including not being able to walk properly, see properly and write properly, he also has terrible spasms in his legs which keep him awake at night. He recently lost his Mother and Father and has been incredibly sad. And now this.

You may all like to know that Ben's operation was very successful - his tongue was operated on to remove the tumour and a lymph node in his neck was removed . He cannot talk and will need speech therapy but can already eat solid food - a very good sign and will be coming out of hospital a day earlier than anticipated - tomorrow. Thanks for all your kind wishes. I have given Ben the link for the Dao and so hopefully he will see them all upon his return home.
He is such a sweetie.
